In 2006, I entered the presidential palace in the main square of La Paz as the first indigenous president of Bolivia. Our government, under the slogan 'Bolivia Changes', is committed to ending the colonialism, racism and exclusion that many of our people lived under for many centuries.
Small businesses are the number one job creators in America. Therefore, it is important that the federal government creates an environment that helps them succeed, not one that sets them up to fail.
He who exercises government by means of his virtue may be compared to the north polar star, which keeps its place when all the stars are rotating about it.
It has been said that democracy is the worst form of government except all the others that have been tried.
History proves that all dictatorships, all authoritarian forms of government are transient. Only democratic systems are not transient. Whatever the shortcomings, mankind has not devised anything superior.
