Today I choose life. Every morning when I wake up I can choose joy, happiness, negativity, pain... To feel the freedom that comes from being able to continue to make mistakes and choices - today I choose to feel life, not to deny my humanity but embrace it.
The best preparation for good work tomorrow is to do good work today.
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It is already tomorrow in Australia.
An idea is so impersonal; it is yours today and the whole world's tomorrow.
Today, hundreds of millions dwell in freedom, from the Baltic to the Adriatic, from the Western Approaches to the Aegean. And while we must never take this for granted, the first purpose of the European Union — to secure peace — has been achieved and we should pay tribute to all those in the EU, alongside Nato, who made that happen.
I shall not today attempt further to define the kinds of material but I know it when I see it.
We need to use the United Nations Security Council and believe that preserving law and order in today's complex and turbulent world is one of the few ways to keep international relations from sliding into chaos. The law is still the law, and we must follow it whether we like it or not.
