People talk about physical fitness, but mental health is equally important. I see people suffering, and their families feel a sense of shame about it, which doesn't help. One needs support and understanding. I am now working on an initiative to create awareness about anxiety and depression and help people.
Countries with higher levels of gender equality have higher economic growth. Companies with more women on their boards have higher returns. Peace agreements that include women are more successful. Parliaments with more women take up a wider range of issues — including health, education, anti-discrimination, and child support.
Money doesn't mean anything to me. I've made a lot of money, but I want to enjoy life and not stress myself building my bank account. I give lots away and live simply, mostly out of a suitcase in hotels. We all know that good health is much more important.
Treasure the love you receive above all. It will survive long after your good health has vanished.
What can be added to the happiness of a man who is in health, out of debt, and has a clear conscience?
The type of leukemia that I am dealing with is treatable. So if I do what my doctors tell me to do — get my blood checked regularly, take my meds and consult with my doctor and follow any additional instructions he might make — I will be able to maintain my good health and live my life with a minimum of disruptions to my lifestyle.
America has the best doctors, the best nurses, the best hospitals, the best medical technology, the best medical breakthrough medicines in the world. There is absolutely no reason we should not have in this country the best health care in the world.
A good job is more than just a paycheck. A good job fosters independence and discipline, and contributes to the health of the community. A good job is a means to provide for the health and welfare of your family, to own a home, and save for retirement.
