I'm very fortunate to have spent so much time in the industry and to have lived through several generations of filmmakers, actors and technicians. There's a huge volume of experience seeing people change and seeing content change.
If a farmer fills his barn with grain, he gets mice. If he leaves it empty, he gets actors.
I like the sensibility of Australian film a lot and the crews are fantastic. Great characters, wonderful people and no line between — I think in Hollywood they have this line between actors and crew a lot, and that just didn't exist, which I really appreciated.
In terms of animation, animators are actors as well. They are fantastic actors. They have to draw from how they feel emotionally about the beat of a scene that they're working on. They work collaboratively.
I am, by nature, pretty reserved. It was after I became an actor that I started interacting more with people from different walks of life!
Eventually though, I'd like to have my own production company. Then I could create great opportunities not only for myself, but for other actors as well.
Love is love, and a lot of times, people might be in the situation they're in because they put barriers up. Like, some people only want to date a model or an actor or an athlete. You're only limiting yourself. Open up to what's out there because God made us all.
I suspect there isn't an actor alive who was able to truthfully answer his family's questions after his first day's activity in his future profession.
