Sort by ratingMy face hasn't matured as I've grown up, and neither has my sense of humour. In the mirror, I see an older version of myself as a child, although I do have more wrinkles and freckles.
I have survivor skills. Some of that is superficial — what I present to people outwardly — but what makes people resilient is the ability to find humour and irony in situations that would otherwise overpower you.
Laughter is an important part of a good relationship. It's an immense achievement when you can move from your thinking that your partner is merely an idiot to thinking that they are that wonderfully complex thing called a loveable idiot. And often that means having a little bit of a sense of humour about their flaws.
